Daud has been in the financial services industry for over 47 years, with significant experience in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. He has set-up and managed two Islamic banks. Prior to that, he was the global Islamic finance leader with Deloitte. He retired in July 2017 as President and CEO of INCEIF - the global university of Islamic finance and now runs his own IF advisory business DVA Consulting Sdn. Bhd. Daud is a member of the Global Group in Islamic Finance and Investment (Global IFIG), under the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK; a former member of the Steering Committee for The Royal Awards for Islamic Finance (RAIF), a former member of the Islamic Finance Committee at the Malaysia Institute of Accountants (MIA), a former member of the EFICA awards panel of judges and a member of the Board of Trustees of the RFI Foundation. He has recently joined (July 2017) the Board of Advisors of Finalytix and remains active in supporting INCEIF and Bank Negara Malaysia in its Islamic Finance initiatives. Since January 2018 he has been Chairman of the Islamic Finance Advisory Board of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and chairman of the Advisory Board At IslamicMarkets.com He is also doing extensive consulting and advisory work on ISLAMIC Social Finance with the IFRC International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. From October 2018 he has become a Partner at Gateway Islamic Advisory LLP. He sits on the Shura at Ethis Ventures. Is Chairman of the Advisory Board at Fasset and is on the Board at Digital Bank Pte. He is a founding Trustee at OtherDots Foundation and is a regular contributor to Thought Leadership in Islamic Finance
