Mufti Muhammad Abdul Mubeen is a Shariah Scholar and expert in Islamic Finance & Banking. After the memorization of Holy Quran, he studied Dars-e-Nizami and obtained Shahadat ul Alamiyyah from Pakistan. He then studied Takahssus fil Ifta under supervision of renowned Mufti Justice Muhammad Taqi Usmani from Jamiah Darul-Uloom Karachi, Pakistan. He has also done LLB (Hons) in Shariah & Law from International Islamic University, Pakistan and Master of Commercial Law from The University of Melbourne, Australia. Mufti Mubeen has extensive experience of advising and auditing Islamic Financial Institutions that spans over 10 years. His dynamic experience in the field of Shariah advisory and compliance also cuts across Islamic banking growth markets such as UK, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. He has advised several innovative Shariah compliant solutions for Trade Finance, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Capital Market Instruments such as Sukuk. He is also member of Shariah Advisors Forum (Forum Established by State Bank of Pakistan) and has participated in preparing & issuing Shariah Standards for Islamic Banking Industry in Pakistan. Mufti Mubeen is the Global Head of Shariah Department at Standard Chartered Bank for Saadiq Islamic banking and Shariah Advisor for Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited for the past 8 years.
